He remembers asking his mom ‘Who is that man?’ Dupré was immediately drawn to his voice and he knew that he wanted to be a singer when he grew up. Summer Fun Without Breaking The Bank Community Features Local Events News by Krys Midgett - August 19, 2019August 19, 20190 written by Nikki Hatcher ‘Wham’ The doors of the school are flung open one last time as ecstatic, energetic and excited children scurry away for summer break. Scouts BSA Troop 934 For Girls Launches In Mt. Juliet Community Features Local Events News by Krys Midgett - May 1, 2019May 1, 20190 Girls are not new to the Boy Scouts of America. Girls have participated in Venturing, Sea Scouts and Exploring since the early 1970s, and now the BSA’s Scouting program is open to them, too. As of February 1, 2019, the iconic “Boy Scout” program has been rebranded to “Scouts BSA” to include scouting opportunities to both boys and girls. Unlike the Venturing and Sea Scouts programs that are open to ages 14-21 and are co-ed programs, the new Scouts BSA Program is available for youth ages 11-17, and they will participate in single-gender troops. There are nearly a dozen newly-launched Scouts BSA troops for girls in the Middle Tennessee area. One of those is Troop 934 in Mt. Juliet. Scoutmaster

Maybe his wife passed away a few years ago. His children live in other states. It is 90 degrees and his AC unit goes out. An AC unit is an expensive item to replace. He lives on a fixed income, can no longer drive, barely has enough income to buy groceries and doesn’t know where to turn. That is where SCAN comes to the rescue. They replace the unit at no charge to him. After the volunteers find out he is low on groceries, they bring him food. Those are just a couple of the many services that the Senior Citizens Awareness Network (SCAN) of Wilson County provides to
