Kiwanis Club Of Mt Juliet Raises Funds & Food

Kiwanis Club of Mt Juliet had a big summer. On July 31st, the community came out to support their Fill The Bus event.

Kiwanis Club members collected non-perishable food items, school supplies, and other items for the Wilson County Schools Resource Center. This is a regular event that they do a couple of times a year. The next one will be held in November. Like their Facebook page for updates.

On August 7th, several of the Kiwanis Club members woke up early and headed to Charlie Daniel Park for the 3rd Annual 5K, Runners of all ages were there to support the Kiwanis Club of Mt Juliet and the kids in our community. Watch for next year’s Kiwanis for Kids 5k. During the 5K, they presented a local Wilson County kid with some new wheels. Harrison was presented with a Trike from Music City Trykes as a gift from the Kiwanis Club of Mt Juliet.

Krys Midgett
Krys Midgett has a BA in Journalism from Tennessee Technological University. She owns Give A Little Publications, runs Give A Little Nashville Magazine and Life Between The Lakes Magazine. She is a SESAC songwriter. Krys also is the founder of a nonprofit focused on helping kids have Christmas gifts. It is called Give A Little Christmas. Krys is also a wife, a mom of three boys and a Nana of two boys.
