Pamper Yourself To Health

“Love yourself first, and everything else falls in line. You really have to love yourself to get anything done in this world.” – Lucille Ball

The stresses of everyday life can take a toll on your body but most of us have a hard time prioritizing self-care. Our schedules get so full that we rarely take time to relax. The truth is in order to lead a productive and fulfilling life, you must love yourself first. Self-care such as a spa day, or just a 45-minute salt therapy session, can be a healthy way to slow down and treat yourself.

Stop. Breathe in. Now picture a spa day.
This is my spa day. I want the whole spa treatment with all the luxuries. I’ll feel like one of the women in the movies – robe, houseshoes, mud on my face….

Start off with a massage to get really relaxed. This helps release toxins from your body and relieves your muscle aches. It helps in many ways but I didn’t study that, so ask a professional.
Next, I will do a facial. I’d probably go for the signature facial with dermaplaning. My makeup went on so smoothly after my last one.

The Salt room is a must for everyone. It helps and I’ll end it with the steam room. Of course, lash extensions are awesome too, so I might get a set of those.

Did you know that you can get that spa treatment in Mt. Juliet? For over six years, Third Coast Salt has been providing local residents with all the services listed above and so many more. The spa was locally beside Smoothie King on Mt. Juliet Rd. until a few weeks ago.

The owner of Third Coast Salt, Shari Arnold, had envisioned building a new home for the business. At the end of September, they opened a shiny, new spa at 103 Sunset Drive.

Shari explains, “ I am a lover of all things wellness and beauty. The benefits of a Salt Spa are incredible and wanted to be the first to introduce this healing to Wilson County. Salt Therapy (halotherapy) goes with all services & treatments at Third Coast Salt. It’s heavenly! Skincare is my true passion so you will see us excel in this aspect of our brand. Self Care is needed more than ever in this fast-paced, chronically-ill world. I love that we have a safe space in Wilson County, and I welcome all to experience the magic of our staff & services. The idea is actually quite simple but my aspirations are more complex. I want to heal and love all I encounter.”

She adds that her biggest success so far is opening her 5200 sq ft Dream Spa. Shari is all about making things happen. Opening her own spa was a dream 30 years in the making. After she accomplished that goal in 2016, Arnold knew she would need something bigger. Now, that dream has reached fruition.

Third Coast Salt has a good team of professionals who Shari refers to as ‘My Salty Sweethearts’ and says they are all family to her.

“I hire the kindest, most knowledgeable humans in our industry. I trust them, I love them. My Salty Sweethearts love this brand and our customers with their whole heart and it shows in repeat business and smiles on our and your faces,” Shari applauds.

Speaking of hearts, Third Coast Salt loves charities. They help wherever help is needed. They support anything and everything that benefits our community, children, educators, women, and others in need. The charity closest to Shari’s heart is All For Him Ministry. Heather Young is the founder of it. They help people who are affected by homelessness.

Shari explains, “I am a servant of God. I help those who need me. Always. I know they would help me if I, or my children, needed care, food, education, or housing.”
When Shari is not at the spa, she enjoys spending time hiking, doing yoga, and doing anything involving her kids. She is a single mom of two, Maggie and Jack Ryman. They both attend Wilson Central High School.
She also enjoys travel, especially to Germany and India. Being home in Mt. Juliet is her favorite place and on Friday nights, it’s a date with her man at Calabria Pizza for a Key Lime Martini, salad, garlic knots, and a Margherita Pizza.

Shari isn’t a native Tennessee girl, she says she’s a Bayou Belle from Louisiana. However, Nashville was her home in the early ‘90s til she moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in TV & Film. She has been back home for 18 years now.

To best describe Shari Arnold, listen to Steve Perry singing “Oh Shari.”

Shari also lives by the phrase “keep your face always toward the sunshine and the shadows will fall behind you….”

Love yourself. Slow down. Relax. It is important to take care of your body. You aren’t getting another one.

Book a session at Third Coast Salt and see what you’ve been missing.
