That’s The Way (uh huh, uh huh) I Like It

Themed weddings are incredibly popular this time of year. A themed wedding is not your old-fashioned type of wedding. Most of the time they consist of something that has special meaning, ranging from a favorite movie to holidays and childhood dreams.
One of the biggest themes used in weddings today is a rustic wedding, usually a lot of wood and rust decor with touches of lace and bling, ball jar vases, and cowgirl boots. There will be lots of flickering candles that show dancing shadows on the wooden walls and couples swaying to country music.
Bohemian or Boho type weddings are popular, too. From dream catchers to whimsical, airy, flowing dresses, pale colors adorn the decor. Flower arrangements usually have bits of nature such as sticks and moss mixed in. The music at a Bohemian wedding is light and has you feeling like you’re dancing on air.
Holding your wedding on a beach with the sand between your toes and standing under an amazing arch of flowers and shells brings the fresh feel of the beach to your day. The smell and the sound of the ocean waves provide relaxation as you speak your vows. Playing in the background, along with the waves, is the soft sound of music for you to hold your soulmate in your arms and dance.
A themed wedding could also involve your favorite movie. Braided buns for the women and light sabers for the guys can bring the feeling of Star Wars to your wedding. A yellow runner for the bride to skip on to the alter can bring you and your guests to Oz for your special day.
Before you say “I do,” think about the theme you would love to have on your day. A themed wedding is an expression of your dreams, what you feel, what makes you happy, and it can make your special day that much more special. Whichever style of wedding you choose, make it all it can be.
