Lending Their Talent To Help Others

Those who are happiest, are those who do the most for others.” B.T. Washington

Wilson County is a very giving community. There are several local nonprofits to support and it can be hard to decide where to give your charitable dollars. A few local businesses have started a weekly charity songwriter night and raise funds for a different charity every week.

Concerts and Causes is sponsored by Life Between The Lakes Magazine, Shiloh Music Center, and The Paper Mill Restaurant. Every Thursday night, songwriters come to lend their talents to entertain customers. There are three ways to donate to the selected charity for the evening; donation bins, door prize tickets, desserts for donations, and The Paper Mill donates 10% of food and beverage sales to the cause or charity. Sweet Family Robinson’s Bakery donates desserts often, Mama Bird Bakery recently donated desserts for an event. Angela Adams made incredible cheesecake for donations.

Some of the charities have included Give A Little Christmas, CASA, Wilson County Senior Center, All For Him Ministries, Jesus Provisions Ministries, Vine Branch Fellowship, Mt Juliet Animal Care, and several more. Emerging and experienced songwriters take the stage at The Paper Mill to perform various genres of music. From Bluegrass, Rock, and Country to folk and Pop reflecting the musical heritage of Nashville and Mt. Juliet. The sound system is provided by Shiloh Music Center,
Attendees of the Concerts and Causes event not only enjoy the music but also indulge in a delectable dinner menu offered by The Paper Mill. This culinary addition adds flavor to the evening’s festivities and enhances the overall experience for guests. The combination of great music and delightful food ensures that attendees have a memorable time while supporting a worthy cause.

Concerts and Causes has carved out a significant place in the cultural fabric of Wilson County. In every weekly gathering, the event reinforces the power of music and community. As attendees and contributors, individuals become part of an event that spreads hope, compassion, and positive change throughout the community.
