The man of your dreams has dropped down on one knee. With the most beautiful ring you have ever seen, he professes his undying love for you and asks you to be his wife. With tears in your eyes and joy in your heart, you say “Yes.”

This is the happiest moment in your life. Once you set the date and start planning your big day, slight panic sets in. You realize the average American wedding is around $27,000. You are a bride on a budget. How do you know where to save and where to splurge?

The list of things needed for a successful wedding is long, but can be prioritized.

Next to your dress, what is the other area in which you really want to spend your money?

When you think about life twenty to fifty years after your wedding day, what will you still have?

The answer is your pictures and your video. Most brides think they will remember everything about their big day, but in reality it’s a blur. To have those pictures to look back on will allow you to hold the memories you cherish for a lifetime. These are the photographs that will hang in your home. These are the memories you will share with your children and grandchildren.
Take the time to research the photographers in your area. Find the one with the portfolio that shares a similar style to you and your fiance. The same goes with the videographer. All photographers and videographers have different styles and you want one who will capture those special moments perfectly.
